Spring - yes!
pussywillows It seems that spring is upon us, even though it snowed a bit during the baseball game (Indians vs. A's) yesterday. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping today. My pussywillow has been showing off its wares quite nicely for some time now. I have a few daffodils nodding their pretty heads in the yard and the forsythia is about to explode into a mass of yellow blooms. I'm so tempted to go out and dig and plant, but it is still a little early. I could plants some cold weather items but I don't enjoy eating many of them. If you enjoy the cold weather items, now is the time to get them into the ground if you haven't already. I can see a mating pair of sparrows building their nest in my next door neighbor's gutter. I hope that works out for them - the birds, not my neighbors. I hate to think they would be flooded out in a rainstorm - both the birds and my neighbors.
